Penrose Heritage Museum
EXPERIENCE HISTORY FOR FREE
The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is extremely excited to have a permanent home for our collection of historic race cars, media, and memorabilia to once again be shared with the world free of charge. In the first half of the 20th century, philanthropists and entrepreneurs Spencer and Julie Penrose established The Pikes Peak Hill Climb, The Broadmoor Hotel, and El Pomar Foundation. In honor of their legacy, El Pomar Foundation, with a generous gift of land from The Broadmoor Hotel, completed a $3.5 million Pikes Peak Hill Climb Experience expansion to the existing El Pomar Carriage Museum, known today as the Penrose Heritage Museum. The new Pikes Peak Hill Climb Experience first opened to the public on July 1st, 2014 and attracts visitors today from all over the world.
